Estelle Morris has been asked by John Denham, Secretary of State for Innovation Universities and Skills, to carry out an independent review of ICT skills for adults as part of the Government’s White Paper on Informal Adult Learning; “The Learning Revolution”.
Estelle welcomed the White Paper which acknowledges the importance of informal adult learning to people’s lives and the nation’s wellbeing. She has been asked to review the extent to which the present strategy for basic ICT skills for adults meets the needs of this group and how it might be improved.
Estelle will be reporting to the Secretary of State by June 2009.
