Managing the new reality -Seminars at a venue local to you

A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU TO HAVE SOME OF THE FINEST PROFESSIONAL SPEAKERS TO PRESENT A SEMINAR TO KEY STAFF AT YOUR CHOSEN LOCAL VENUE.
MANAGING THE NEW REALITY; IMPLICATIONS FOR LOCAL AUTHORITIES, SCHOOLS AND OTHER SETTINGS
The first thing that Michael Gove did as Secretary of State for Education was to rename the department the Department for Education. In an e mail to staff he referred to his intention “to refocus the Department on its core purpose of supporting teaching and learning”. He went on to say that “school reform will be our priority but schools only succeed when society is strong, which is why we will also strengthen and reform children’s services”
This change of focus, against a backdrop of much tighter budgets for both revenue and capital, will mean that local authorities, schools and other settings will need to review their own priorities.
This briefing will provide an opportunity for school leaders, teachers, local authority officers and members to explore and discuss the implications of this change of focus with speakers who have a wide range of relevant experience. We will design the session in discussion with you and pay particular attention to key issues relevant to the target audience.
Our panel of three speakers will be drawn from the Slater Baker list of speakers:
