Introduction

Chris Waterman has over 35 years of experience in education, children's services and information management, in both the public and private sector.

Formerly Executive Director of the Association of Directors of Children's Services (ADCS), Chris has been at the heart of public policy making for the past two decades, working for London Councils and ADCS. He has been chair and key member of a range of national policy groups in education and children's services.

Chris has both personal and professional credibility with national politicians, civil servant and third sector leaders in education and children’s services. He is valued as a team leader across the public sector with a proven ability to lead and deliver change management projects.

He is currently Executive Director of Investors in Families, the national accreditation scheme (www.investorsinfamilies.org.uk) and Creative Director of DIAGRAM.

Chris is Children's Services Editor of Education Journal and edits the weekly e-bulletin Children's Services Weekly, reporting regularly on Select Committee discussions and parliamentary debates.

He is a very prolific and effective public speaker, commentator and author – able to convey complex ideas clearly to different audiences: internationally, nationally, regionally and locally.
